On July 16, 1945, scientists created the world's first nuclear bomb. On October 4, 1957, the world's first artificial space probe, Sputnik, was launched out from the Earth's atmosphere, which alerted the futurians, an extraterrestrial race from the distant planet Futura. As agents from Futura's international space force, Futura High Command, grow more fascinated with Earth and its newborn space technology, they send one of their most experienced officers, Colonel Lucius "Bleep" Morningstar, to investigate this peculiar world.  The brilliant but overworked space ranger is willing to accept this top-secret mission, but he won’t be alone once Colonel Bleep arrives on Earth.

Once Colonel Bleep begins his journey on the Solar System's only living planet, he'll unexpectedly meet two outsiders that will turn Bleep's chaotic world upside down. Bleep will first encounter Clive "Scratch" Rockwell, a clueless but sweet-natured prehistoric human who makes a fine brawn for the colonel's brains. He's kind, brave, patient, and a talented woodsman and hunter, but the caveman knows nothing of the modern world after being frozen for 20,000 years. Sooner or later, Colonel Bleep and Scratch would make their first contact with Squeak, a happy-go-lucky marionette who is anything other than an authentic and natural little boy. He's a practical troublemaker with a strong sense of humor and curiosity. Still, deep down, the youthful puppet is just a loner who wishes to leave his miserable life on Earth to explore the vast universe. When the three cross paths, they soon realize they'll have to work together even if they're not from the same time or planet. Despite this, they'll find out they have plenty in common and will need each other from the best to worst situations.

Of course, our heroes must be aware of the incoming danger lurking on their exciting adventures. That is when Colonel Bleep clashes with Dr. Destructo, a hooded criminal mastermind who will do anything to exterminate the spaceman. While Bleep fears this villain, the former will find the latter even more suspicious. Could Destructo be more than just a simple murderer? Could there be a reason why he has a bloodthirsty obsession with Bleep? All the colonel knows is that his life is now in jeopardy, thanks to that mysterious criminal. With the help of his new friends, however, it will be up to Colonel Bleep to stop running from his fears and confront his nemesis for the greater good.
